Hanvon Clear 7 Turbo+ e-Reader With 7-inch Carta 1300 Display Launched

The Hanvon Clear7 Turbo+ e-reader has been launched in China, ITHome reported. The e-reader comes with a 7-inch EINK Carta 1300 e-paper display having 1264 × 1680 pixels or 300 PPI resolution. The display supports 256 levels of grayscale and is based on a full-lamination process. A nice thing with the Clear7 Turbo+ e-reader is its support for the English language, apart from the Chinese language for the UI.

A notable aspect of the Hanvon Clear7 Turbo+ e-reader is its design, which is clearly inspired by the Kindle Oasis. There is a thicker portion that serves as a nice grip. You will find it easy to hold on to this portion and continue with your reading single-handedly. Further adding to the reading convenience is the presence of the page turn buttons, which allow for a seamless reading experience.

The display sits flush with the case and the bezels, which adds to the style quotient. The presence of ultra-thin front light ensures perfect illumination of the display to allow for reading even in complete darkness. In fact, the e-reader is as comfortable to read in direct sunlight as in the dark, thanks to the presence of warm and cold lighting.

Under the hood, the Hanvon Clear7 Turbo+ e-reader comes with a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor. There is 4 GB of memory onboard along with 64 GB of storage. There is no provision to add more storage, though. It runs Android 14, though there might not be access to the Google Play Store. That said, you will still be able to install third-party apps, something that greatly enhances the scope of the device.

Power comes from a 2700 mAh battery, which should easily keep the device going for a couple of weeks. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz). There is also a Type-C port, which supports the attachment of Type-C earphones, data transfer, and battery charging. It comes with a gravity sensor to allow reading via both hands.

Other features include a built-in mic and speakers. The e-reader measures 155.7 x 135.8 x 3.9–8.2 mm and weighs 175 grams. It supports a wide range of e-book, image, and audio files, making the Hanvon Clear7 Turbo+ e-reader a versatile e-reader fit for reading e-books, PDF files, comics, manga, and so on, as well as listening to audiobooks.

The Hanvon Clear7 Turbo+ e-reader is currently available for pre-order via JD and is priced around 220 USD.
