The Bigme B7 color e-note has now gone on sale. Bigme had earlier announced that the e-note device is meant for sale in the international markets and must be procured only in USD. Even those living in China and are willing to buy the B7 will have to make the payment using USD only and not in local Chinese currency. The e-note is currently listed at the Chinese retail site Jing Dong, which ships to most places around the world. The B7 is priced at 2199 yuan, which comes to around 305 USD.
The Bigme B7 was first unveiled around the end of March. Two months later, it is finally available to buy. It features a 7-inch Kaleido 3 color e-paper display that offers 300 PPI and 150 PPI resolution for color and B/W modes, respectively. It is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor that works in tandem with 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of native storage.
The tablet is accompanied by a stylus that supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The stylus, however, needs to be charged though a nice thing here is that it can be charged wirelessly. You can use the stylus for jotting down notes, annotating, scribbling, or journaling, as the need might be. At 7-inch, you have the convenience of a portable e-note device which can serve as both an e-reader as well as a note-taking device.
Another positive with the B7 is that it runs the latest Android 14 OS. That is not all, as yet another quality of the B7 that makes it unique among a sea of e-note devices is that it comes with a SIM card slot. When slotted with a 4G SIM, it can be used for making calls as well. This also makes the Bigme B7 the only e-note device launched in recent times to be so equipped.
The presence of physical page turn buttons also takes user convenience to another level. This allows for a seamless reading experience, as is preferred by most avid readers. Power comes from a 3000 mAh battery, which should keep the device functional for a few weeks easily. There is also a rear-mounted camera complete with an LED flas,h which can be used for scanning documents.
