The Onyx Boox Note X6 E Ink notebook has now gone on sale in China. The device which is being touted as the direct successor to the company’s Note X5 is now available to buy for 3299 Yuan. That comes to roughly USD 487 as per direct conversion.
It comes with a 10.3-inch 300 PPI B/W E Ink display with a 2480 x 1860 pixels resolution. There is a layer of Micro‑etched glass on top. On the inside lies a Qualcomm octa-core processor that is coupled with a 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of storage, with the option to add another 2 TB of storage via microSD cards.
ITHome mentioned that the 4 nm process Qualcomm 6690 processor has a maximum clock speed of 2.9GHz and boasts an ANTUTU V11.1.2 benchmark score of more than 690,000. The Note X6 measures 227 × 195 × 5.2 mm in length, width, and thickness, respectively. It comes with a Type-C port having OTG support and weighs 365 grams.
Connectivity options with the Note X6 E Ink tablet include dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G &5G) and Bluetooth 5.0. It comes with a quad-array microphone and built-in dual speakers. Power comes from a 3700 mAh battery, which should keep the device fed for a couple of weeks easily. The accompanying ‘Golden Pen’ stylus can be used for jotting down notes, annotating, and so on.
The Note X6 comes with Android 16 pre-installed. It supports several productivity-oriented features such as split-screen operations, audio-to-text transcription in real-time, along with advanced AI features such as generating a summary of notes. Boox said the Note X6 has been specifically optimized for hundreds of apps to allow for enhanced productivity.
The Note X lineup is, however, available exclusively in China, which means chances of it being launched elsewhere in the world are quite slim. Orders can be placed at retailer JingDong. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
