Onyx Boox has revealed official images of two of its upcoming e-reader devices: the Note X5 and the Note X5S. The Reddit post mentions that both the X5 and X5S devices will see an official release on June 15. With that being just around the corner, we won’t have to wait long to find out the complete details.
As of now, what is known is that Note X5 will come with a 300 PPI display. There is going to be a front light feature with dual warm and cold adjustment to allow for an optimum viewing experience irrespective of the ambient lighting condition. Though not confirmed, perhaps it would be safe to assume the device will come with an e-ink Carta 1300 panel. The Note X5, meanwhile, will also come with an AI smart key as well, pointing to advanced AI capabilities built into the device.
The Note X5S, on the other hand, will come with a thin and light body. Both are going to be accompanied by a stylus for notetaking. This, along with keyboard attachments, will make them efficient, productive devices fit for use by office workers or creators.
The new Note X5 and X5S will succeed the Note X3 series that Onyx Boox offers. The Note X3 series comprises the Youth Edition, Standard Edition, X3 Plus, X3 Pro, and the X3 Max Edition.
