New Honor MagicPad 3 Takes Eye Protection Tech to the Next Level

The upcoming Honor MagicPad 3 is being touted as one of the best things to happen in the tablet segment in recent times. It comes with all the bells and whistles that you’d expect out of a high-end tablet, though what makes it stand out from the crowd is its integration of several eye-protection features. All of these make the display a lot more eye-friendly than it would have otherwise been.

But first, the 13.3-inch display comes with a 3.2K resolution. As InnoGyan stated, this, together with a 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate, is considered an industry-first innovation. Together, they deliver unprecedented levels of clarity and smoothness, elevating the user experience to a whole new level. The high refresh rate means you have the smoothest possible scrolling experience, while the 3.2k resolution ensures texts and images truly pop.

Honor said they could achieve the feat by the use of dual DDIC driver chips while also enhancing the IC oscillator frequency and PVD film deposition processes. The company said this is similar to offering a tablet with dual-core overclocked performance. Honor has indeed set a whole new standard so far as display clarity, high resolution, and ultra-high refresh rate is considered, something that other tablet manufacturers might find it hard to match right away.

Things do not end here as the MagicPad 3 also comes with several industry-leading eye protection technologies. That includes eight upgraded Oasis Eye Protection technologies. This also makes the tablet capable of supporting both Motion Sickness Relief and AI Dry Eye Friendly displays.

Based on advanced AI technology, the feature is programmed to detect the user’s blink frequency and suggest timely blinks accordingly. This way, the feature can help remedy common eye issues such as dryness and fatigue of the eyes. Similarly, there is motion simulation algorithms also at work that help improve ‘visual comfort during fast-paced movement and scrolling.’

All of this ensures the tablet is safe for your eyes even after prolonged usage. This is applicable not only for reading but also for watching videos, playing games, and so on. The rest of the specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 1 TB of UFS storage. A huge 12,450 mAh battery will be keeping the lights on and will support 66W fast charging. In spite of the huge battery, the tablet measures just 5.79 mm and weighs just 595 grams.

The MagicPad 3 is slated for launch at an event on July 2 along with the Magic V5 foldable smartphone. Color options with the tablet include white, gold, and gray.
