Here comes the Moan Pantone 6, the latest entrant in the entry-level e-reader segment, e-Reader Pro reported. A huge USP of the new Pantone 6 is that it comes with a Kaleido 3 e-paper display. Moan said there is also a high-aluminosilicate glass layer having an electroplated AG film process that sits on top of the e-paper layer. This ensures zero glare, thereby ensuring a superior viewing experience. Further aiding in that is the 32-level warm and cool front light feature with independent cold, warm, and brightness controls.
Besides making the display all the more eye-friendly, the top glass layer also ensures greater protection against scratches while making it more resistant to interference as well. The display is also supported by the ink MRD display adjustment technology which the company said will lead to better color reproduction. To ensure faster page refresh tine, the display boasts of a balanced refresh mode which together with the custom color adjustment feature leads to the least of ghosting effect.
Other specs of the Pantone 6 e-reader include an RK3566 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. Power comes from an 1800 mAh battery which Moan said will allow for a stand-by time of 30 days on a single full charge. The e-reader comes pre-installed with the Android 11 operating system. It measures 7.25 mm in thickness and tips the scales at 152 grams.
As for its availability, the Pantone 6 can be ordered via the Moan JD store. It has been priced quite affordably at 999 yuan which comes to around 138 USD.
