As IGN reported, it all starts at this year’s Comic-Con 2025, where Comixology is partnering with Amazon Kindle to host an exclusive scavenger hunt game. Not surprisingly, the event has been dubbed ‘Comixology x Kindle Colorsoft Scavenger Hunt’.
Those willing to take part in the game will have to make it to the booths of all participating publishers. There, they will have to find and scan hidden QR codes. Unlocking these codes will add to their chances of winning free comics and discount codes. Plus, this is also how you become eligible to win a brand new Kindle Colorsoft.
“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Kindle for SDCC 2025,” said Jeff DiBartolomeo, GM and CTO of Comixology, in a statement. “We’re excited for fans to join us and our many publishing partners in our first-ever in-person scavenger hunt. The Comixology x Kindle Colorsoft Scavenger Hunt is a celebration of comics, of reading, and the massive, diverse library of comics – from classics to today’s newest releases – available through more than 150 publishers on Comixology and Kindle.”

There are going to be Kindle demo stations set up where attendees will have the chance to try out Kindle devices firsthand. There are also going to be creator signings as well as live drawing sessions, which will see artists like Michael Avon Oeming and Tula Lotay taking part. Apart from these, Comixology will also be hosting up to seven panels at SDCC, with such names as Thomas Jane, Taki Soma, Marc Bernardin, Tula Lotay, Paul Cornell, and Scott Snyder serving as panelists.
