The Kindle Scribe continues to be on sale. Just a few days back, the Kindle e-ink notebook was in the news thanks to its $100 discount that brought the price of the Kindle Scribe 16 GB to just $300. That is the lowest it has ever sold for. While that is great, the deal continues to be equally lucrative for those needing slightly bigger storage.
The 64 GB Kindle Scribe is now selling for $350, which is $100 less than its list price of $450. This is a discount of 22 percent and the lowest price the Kindle e-note device has ever sold for. The 64 GB of onboard storage is also the highest the e-ink tablet offers. Unfortunately, there is no way to add more storage as there is no SD card slot available. That said, you can store documents on Amazon Cloud to supplement the native storage.
The new 2024 Kindle Scribe is otherwise a familiar piece of hardware by now. It sports basically the same hardware as its predecessor, save for a new color scheme. The borders are now done up in white, which merges with the white background of the display, thereby giving the illusion of the display extending all the way up to the edge of the device. The new Scribe comes in Tungsten and Metallic Jade color schemes.
One way the new 2024 Kindle Scribe differs from the original launched back in 2022 is its software. The new Scribe boasts several AI-enabled features that make it conducive for note-taking, journaling, annotating, scribbling, and such. You can jot down notes right on the document or an e-book itself. Once you do that, Active Canvas expands automatically to accommodate your notes.
Amazon, meanwhile, has introduced a new update version 5.18.3, which includes the Active Canvas – Move feature. As is understandable, the feature will let you move the Active Canvas for placement anywhere in the display. That can be achieved by long-pressing on the Active Canvas and moving it to place it anywhere on the display. The tablet is accompanied by the Premium Pen – Metallic Jade for making notes.
There is also the Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle on sale for $404.97, which is a substantial $165 less than the list price.
