New Aluratek ePaper Frame Lasts 2 Years on a Single Charge

Aluratek has announced the launch of a new E Ink digital photo frame – the ePaper Frame – featuring a 13.3-inch color e-paper display. The company said the digital photo frame is different from the others in the segment in that it is the first to not require an AC power source. You can place it anywhere you like, since there are no restrictions as such for placement near a power source.

Though not explicitly mentioned, the ePaper frame should have an in-built power source of unknown specifications, but is large enough to allow for 2 years of operations on a single charge. The thin and lightweight design means you can carry it with you anywhere and have it installed for trouble-free operations. It can be placed on a flat surface using the accompanying stand or mounted on a wall.

The ePaper frame is Wi-Fi enabled. Images can be changed using the Aluratek eFrame app, which is compatible with both Android and iOS. The app offers a very simple interface, which is self-descriptive and easy to use. The images look gorgeous and life-like on the e-paper display that offers a glare-free paper-like interface. The e-paper display also has excellent readability and has wide viewing angles. You can choose between a portrait or a landscape installation according to your requirements.

“The 13.3” ePaper WiFi Digital Photo Frame was designed to be placed anywhere without the need to plug into AC Power,” said John Wolikow, CEO at Aluratek. “This truly is the next generation picture frame leveraging WiFi, e-Paper, and Smartphone App technology to bring you a whole new user experience!”

Aluratek specialises in the manufacture of a host of electronic products designed for everyday usage. That includes smart home gadgets, digital photo frames, USB accessories, streaming devices, and so on. The color e-paper photo frame is the newest addition to their product portfolio. The ePaper Frame is priced at $350 with free shipping to the US.
