iReader Neo 2 – The World’s Smallest e-Reader With 6-inch Carta 1300 Display Unveiled

The much anticipated iReader Neo 2 has finally arrived, and it boasts a groundbreaking feature: the latest E Ink Carta 1300 display. Claiming the title of the smallest e-reader to incorporate this advanced display technology, the Neo 2 promises significant enhancements over its predecessor. According to the company, the new display offers a 27 percent faster response time, a 20 percent improvement in contrast, and a remarkable 15 percent increase in clarity. Additionally, the physical resolution has surged by an impressive 99.98 percent. With a resolution of 1072 x 1448 pixels, the 6-inch display achieves a pixel density of 300PPI, ensuring crisp and clear visuals for an unparalleled reading experience.

One of the standout features of the Neo 2 is its warm and cold front light capability, providing optimal visibility in various lighting conditions. Moreover, the integration of iDisplay refresh technology delivers seamless scrolling and faster refresh rates, ensuring a consistently clean and crisp display with every page turn. This is made possible by a dedicated graphics chip and AI dynamic refresh technology, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate based on the content being displayed, resulting in a remarkable 50 percent enhancement in display quality.

Under the hood, the Neo 2 packs a powerful quad-core custom CPU. iReader said this enables lightning-fast opening times for even large PDF files, with a claimed 51 percent improvement. Accompanied by 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage, the Neo 2 ensures smooth performance and ample space for storing a vast collection of e-books. Fueling the device is a robust 1700mAh battery, providing an impressive 44 hours of continuous reading time or up to 18 days of standby time. Available in classic shades of white and black, the iReader Neo 2 offers a sleek and stylish design that complements its cutting-edge features.

In terms of pricing, the iReader Neo 2 is priced at 1349 yuan (approximately 188 USD), while the variant bundled with a protective case is available for 1418 Yuan (approximately 197 USD). However, it is important to note that the e-reader is currently exclusively available in the Chinese market, with availability in other regions yet to be announced.
