Bigme HiBreak Pro Color Debuts with Android 14 and Powerful Specs

Bigme has officially unveiled its latest innovation in the e-paper smartphone category: the Bigme HiBreak Pro Color. As ITHome reported, the HiBreak Pro Color was announced on September 8, 2025 though the exact release date remains under wraps.

Bigme HiBreak Pro Color: What We Know So Far

The Bigme HiBreak Pro Color blends eye comfort with full smartphone functionality. It stands out with its glare-free color E Ink display designed to reduce eye strain. The Kaleido 3 panel supports 4096 colors along with 300 PPI and 150 PPI resolution for black and white and color content, respectively. This makes it ideal for reading, note-taking, and extended screen time. Besides, the device also supports 5G connectivity, dual SIM dual standby, GPS, NFC, and other mainstream features. It runs on the Android 14 open system, offering access to Google Play.

From the teaser images, the phone sports a sleek design with red side buttons and multiple physical keys likely dedicated to page-turning and volume control. It also features a rear camera setup labeled “501703,” paired with a flash module.

This launch signals Bigme’s continued push into the hybrid space between smartphones and e-paper devices. The Bigme HiBreak Pro Color is positioned to appeal to productivity-focused users who want the benefits of a smartphone without the eye fatigue of traditional OLED or LCD screens. Interestingly, the announcement comes close on the heels of Boox showcasing its new Palma Color smartphone, which too will have a calling feature and a color display, both being a first for the Palma range.

How It Compares to the Bigme HiBreak Pro

Compared to the earlier Bigme HiBreak Pro, the new Color variant brings several upgrades. The most obvious is the transition from monochrome to color E Ink, enhancing usability for visual content like comics, charts, and colored annotations. Internally, the HiBreak Pro Color features a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, up from the Helio P35 in the previous model. It also boasts 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, compared to 6 GB/128 GB on the standard Pro model. Battery capacity has increased from 3300mAh to 4500mAh, and the rear camera has been upgraded from 13 MP to 20 MP, making it more versatile for document scanning and casual photography.

Bigme HiBreak Pro Color: Pricing and Availability

While pricing and availability details are still pending, the announcement has already sparked interest among tech enthusiasts and digital minimalists alike. With its unique combination of features, the Bigme HiBreak Pro Color could redefine how we interact with mobile devices in visually gentler ways.
