Amazon Prime Day Dillema: To Kindle or Not to Kindle

Here is a dilemma that many to-be Kindle buyers are likely to find themselves in at the moment. Amazon is offering some incredible Fourth of July discounts on almost its entire range of Kindle devices. That includes the flagship Kindle Colorsoft and the Kindle Scribe. While that is great, the problem is that Amazon also has its Prime Day event lined up just around the corner. This year, the Prime Day Sale starts on July 8 and will run till July 11. This is the first time the sale will be live for four days.

With that being the scenario, the question that arises obviously, is whether you should take advantage of the reduced prices now or wait for the Prime Day sale to unfold. The deals currently available are tempting to say the least, and apply exclusively to Prime members only. In some cases, the prices have almost been halved, or 42 percent, to be specific. This makes me wonder if it’s going to dive any further during Prime Day. Here is a brief round-up of all the deals currently available.

The difference between the above two Paperwhite Essential Bundles is just $3, which has to do with plant plant-based leather cover of the latter which is the costlier version.

Like-New Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB) $106.99 (- $37)
This is the only refurbished Kindle model on sale right now.

Kindle Paperwhite Kids

Kindle Paperwhite Kids Essentials Bundle including All-new Kindle Paperwhite Kids (16GB) – The Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Power Adapter $184.98 (- $24.99)

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Kids 16GB $129.99 (- $50)

Kindle

Kindle Essentials Bundle including Kindle (2024 release) – Black, Fabric Cover – Black, and Power Adapter $121.97 (- $40.00)

Amazon Kindle Kids 16GB $94.99 (- $35)

What is evident from the above is that, with the exception of the Kindle Scribe, it is primarily bundle deals that are available on other Kindle models. While it is hard to predict but the Kindle Scribe price is unlikely to go down any further. So, if you have been eyeing the Kindle note-taking device, maybe you can hit the buy button now.

The other bundle deals, too, are hard to resist, it must be said. However, you can take your chances if it is the standalone models of the Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, Kindle Colorsoft, or the Kids version of them that you are looking for.
