Editorial Standards

Einkopedia exists to help you understand E Ink and choose the right device. This page explains how articles are researched and written, how the site makes money, and what happens when something is wrong.

How articles are researched

Buying guides, comparisons and explainers draw on three kinds of sources:

  • Manufacturer documentation for specifications such as screen size, resolution, weight, storage and pen support. Guides note when the specs were last checked.
  • Independent reviews from specialist testers and publications, linked wherever their findings are used.
  • Owner communities such as Reddit and MobileRead. They often reveal the long-term issues that launch reviews miss, such as software bugs, durability and customer support.

When sources disagree, the article says so rather than picking the convenient answer.

Hands-on testing

Most Einkopedia guides are based on research rather than in-house testing, and each guide makes clear which applies. When an article draws on personal use, it says so. Sovan has used a Kindle Paperwhite as his everyday reader since 2022.

How AI tools are used

Einkopedia uses AI tools to help with research, outlining, fact-checking and editing. Every article is written and reviewed by Sovan Mandal before publication, and Sovan is responsible for its accuracy. If you spot an error, please report it so it can be corrected.

Independence

  • No company has paid for coverage, and no ranking, award or recommendation is for sale.
  • Einkopedia has not received free devices from manufacturers. If that ever changes, the article concerned will say so, and it will have no bearing on the verdict.

How Einkopedia makes money

Einkopedia is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, Einkopedia earns from qualifying purchases made through its links, at no extra cost to you. Some links go directly to manufacturers’ own stores and earn nothing. Whether a link earns a commission never affects which devices are recommended. See also the Affiliate Disclosure.

Updates and corrections

Einkopedia’s most-read guides are reviewed every three months, and any guide is updated when a device it covers launches, changes or is discontinued. Reader-reported errors are checked and corrected promptly, the article’s “last updated” date changes, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article.
